Mobile Home Installation Decal Sticker

Above is a sample picture of an Alabama Mobile Home Installation Decal Sticker. Do not confuse this with a tax decal sticker, which must be renewed every year. An installation decal is valid for 10 years. It works as proof that a mobile home is strapped, skirted, and that the foundation is up to code. Certain insurers, such as Alabama Insurance Underwriters Association, require this sticker to be on the home before insurance is bound. Documentation concerning the sticker will not suffice. Stickers older than 10 years will not suffice. If a policy is bound, but an installation decal sticker is not on the home at the time of inspection, that policy will be cancelled.

An installation decal sticker may run several hundred dollars, depending on what it would take to bring the mobile home up to code.  The Alabama Manufactured Housing Commission Installation Certification Decal can be issued by several installers.
